Sand Blast is a block game in the Tetris subcategory. It features two modes of play (i.e., Classic and Sand).
In Classic mode, the player tries to earn the highest score possible by destroying horizontal layers of hardened sand blocks with dropping polyomino shapes. In Sand mode, they attempt to reach a specific score by positioning and dropping fragile sand-based polyomino shapes inside a container to form non-uniform, wall-to-wall color-matched layers.
Sand Blast rewards the player with diamonds. The player can also collect this currency via a daily bonus reward. If they don't mind watching advertisements, they can earn additional diamonds at the end of play.
Additionally, the game offers boosters that the player can win as rewards, buy with diamonds, or access with ad views. With Classic mode, the player can use bombs, a change tool and an undo move tool. They can also select a different theme via a Skins button. During Sand mode, they can use bombs that drop randomly, an eraser that removes a shape, and a swap tool that replaces a set of sand-based polyomino shapes with a new one.
